On November 24, it was reported that members of the trust and security team of social media company Twitter called in sick on November 10 in protest against new boss Elon Musk (Elon Musk) ignoring their proposal to force "Blue V certification".

Musk defied the recommendation of the Twitter trust and security team to launch the "Blue V Certification" subscription service on November 9, causing a drop in team morale, the report said. "Blue V Certification" is a subscription service that charges $8 a month and provides users with blue tags and exclusive features.

A week earlier, the Twitter trust and security team had sent Musk a seven-page document warning him of the dangers of launching a new authentication system, including Twitter users posing as famous Big V. it also makes it unclear which accounts are real and which are fake.

Musk doesn't seem to take their advice. As a result, employees of the Twitter trust and security team called in sick without any warning in order to draw the company's attention to the problem.

While the team members protested collectively, Yoel Roth, head of the Twitter trust and security team, resigned after the launch of the Blue V certification. Ross has mentioned that Musk's "impulsive adjustments and lengthy statements about Twitter rules lack legitimacy".

A few weeks ago, the same day Musk completed his Twitter acquisition, he fired Ross's predecessor, Vijaya Gadde, who headed the Twitter trust and security team for 11 years.

Twitter didn't immediately respond to a request for comment about employees calling in sick collectively.

The source said that when Musk issued an ultimatum to employees to either sign up for an upgraded "extremely hard core" work culture or resign before 5pm on the 17th, the company's trust and security team began to consider a collective resignation. The team members "fell to the ground and agreed that Musk didn't value their work."

One source said that now "there seems to be no trust and security strategy, and Musk only overturns or formulates policy without any opinion."

In recent weeks, Twitter's "Blue V authentication" service has been suspended and users are currently unable to sign up for the paid service. At a meeting with employees on Monday, Mr Musk said the service would not be resumed until "we are sure there will be no major impersonation".

Last week, Mr Musk appointed Ella Irwin, a senior executive, as the new head of the trust and security team. Owen first joined the company in June as vice president of health and Twitter services, but resigned shortly after Musk took over.

Owen was one of the executives Musk invited back to help persuade others to stay on Twitter after less than 50% of Twitter employees said they accepted Musk's work culture.
