CTOnews.com In an effort to push Blizzard's acquisition forward, Microsoft recently told the UK Competition and Marketing Authority that Sony PlayStation exclusive games outperform Xbox exclusive games in both quantity and quality.

Microsoft cited Metacritic data showing that the average score for the top 20 exclusive games on PlayStation in 2021 was 87/100, while the average score for Xbox exclusive games in the same period was 80/100.

CTOnews.com understands that in addition to higher ratings for PlayStation exclusive games, Microsoft also notes that PlayStation exclusive games account for 10-20% of all PlayStation sales, while Xbox exclusive games account for only 0-10%.

In a PDF file submitted to the UK Competition and Markets Authority, Microsoft stressed that it would not remove Activision's work from PlayStation beyond completing the acquisition. But no matter how much Microsoft stresses the issue, regulators remain concerned.

Activision Blizzard launched popular classic games such as Overwatch Pioneer, Diablo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Candy Legend and StarCraft, which have a great influence in the game circle. While Britain has decided to review Microsoft's acquisition of Activision, several countries, including Brazil and Saudi Arabia, have allowed the deal to go ahead.
