CTOnews.com, November 23, a few days ago, Zhongguang Nuclear Shanwei Jiazi 500000 kilowatt offshore wind power project (referred to as "Jiazi one Project") successfully realized 78 turbines connected to the grid, marking the first affordable offshore wind power project in China to achieve full capacity grid-connected power generation. It also marks the first million kilowatt offshore wind power base in eastern Guangdong (including 500000 kilowatts of Shanwei Lake and 500,000 kilowatts of Jiazi) officially completed and put into production.

The Jiazi 1 project is located in the sea area south of Hudong Town, Lufeng City, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. it is the first offshore construction, the first grid-connected power generation and the first parity offshore wind power project in China, with an offshore distance of 25km and a water depth of 30-35m, supporting the construction of a 220kV offshore booster station and a 500kV onshore booster station shared by three projects, namely, Guangzhou Nuclear Houhu, Jiazi 1 and Jiazi 2. It is an offshore wind power project with the highest voltage level in China. At the same time, the 35kV submarine cable of the project innovatively adopts waterproof insulation bundle to replace the traditional lead sheath technology throughout the country, and takes the lead in using applied current basic anticorrosion technology in Guangdong sea area, which effectively reduces carbon emissions in the life cycle of submarine cable, while solving the problems of difficult construction and high project cost. After the project is put into production, it can provide clean electricity of about 1.5 billion kilowatt hours per year, which can effectively reduce the consumption of standard coal by about 460000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.2 million tons, which is equivalent to about 3400 hectares of afforestation.

Up to now, China Guangzhou Nuclear Corporation has more than 23 million kilowatts of offshore wind power resources, and 2.858 million kilowatts of projects have been completed. There are offshore wind power bases in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Shandong and other major coastal provinces. At the same time, Zhongguang Nuclear Corporation has made great efforts to build an integrated development model of the whole industrial chain of offshore wind power, which has achieved good results in Yangjiang, Shanwei and Huizhou industrial parks led by Guangdong. In Zhejiang, there are Daishan and Shengsi projects to build the largest offshore wind farm group in the province.

CTOnews.com learned that with the full capacity operation of the CNNRC Jiazi one offshore wind power project, the total installed capacity of new energy in China and Guangzhou Nuclear Power Corporation has officially exceeded 3000 million kilowatts.
