CTOnews.com November 23 news, Infineon Technology launched a new PSoC 4100s Max series. With extended flash memory devices and general input / output interface (GPIO), the product supports the fifth generation of CAPSENSE capacitance and inductive touch sensing technology, and can meet the needs of the new generation of human-computer interaction (HMI) applications.

PSoC 4100s Max uses CAPSENSE technology and is available in 7x7 mm ², 10x10 mm ²and 14x14 mm ²package sizes to support industrial control, automotive human-computer interaction (HMI), smart home automation and large household appliances, such as robots, inductive sensors, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, smart thermostats, printers, etc.

CTOnews.com learned that Infineon PSoC 4100s Max is equipped with PSoC 4 flash memory devices with a storage capacity of up to 384K, which is the largest flash memory capacity of PSoC 4 product family. The product has up to 84 GPIO interfaces that support the CAN-FD protocol, high-speed long-distance wired communications, and the I ²S master interface for fully embedded audio solutions. Advantages also include two fifth-generation CAPSENSE modules that provide differentiated human-computer interaction and touch-sensing solutions. The new generation of Infineon PSoC devices also integrates encryption accelerators, which can improve encryption speed and encryption efficiency, and provide a more secure interaction mode for future touch user interface applications.

The new device is compatible with Infineon's latest ModusToolbox 3.0 development platform to develop experiences for a variety of application scenarios, including consumer Internet of things, automotive human-computer interaction (HMI), industrial, smart home, wearable devices and other applications. In addition to PSoC 4, the Infineon ModusToolbox 3.0 development platform is also compatible with embedded applications using Infineon products such as PSoC 6, XMC, AIROC Wi-Fi, AIROC Bluetooth and EZ-PD PMG1 microcontrollers.

The PSoC 4100s Max series is compatible with the Infineon ModusToolbox 3.0 development platform. Users can download the ModusToolbox 3.0 toolkit from Infineon Developer Center (Infineon developer Center). This installation tool is suitable for Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.
