CTOnews.com, November 23, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, on November 21, the launch ceremony of the National remote Sensing data and Application Service platform and the National Space Administration Satellite data and Application International Cooperation Center was held in Haikou City, Hainan Province, and the National remote Sensing data and Application Service platform was officially opened.

According to reports, in order to promote the co-construction and sharing of remote sensing data in China, the National Space Administration, together with relevant departments, give full play to the advantages of the new national system, organize seven co-construction units, including the National Space Administration Earth observation and data Center, the China Resources Satellite Tencent App Center of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group, and the National Satellite Meteorological Center, to sign strategic cooperation agreements and jointly build the platform.

As a national public welfare and basic public infrastructure for remote sensing information, the platform will open up information channels for open sharing of remote sensing satellite data, build a basic framework for the interconnection and efficient utilization of resources, carry out comprehensive application of space resources and unified scheduling for emergency disaster reduction and disaster relief, and promote the high-quality development of cross-industry, cross-sectoral and cross-regional remote sensing applications.

CTOnews.com learned that in order to build an international cooperation hub for the platform, the National Space Administration and Hainan Province jointly built a "Hainan Satellite data and Application Research Center" and a national international cooperation base for satellite data and applications. At the same time, the "International Cooperation Center for Satellite data and applications of the National Space Administration" and the "BRICS remote Sensing Satellite Constellation data and Tencent App Center (China)" signs were added.

Relying on the data policy advantages of Hainan Free Trade Port, the center will coordinate international cooperation in remote sensing data and applications, support the implementation of intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in the field of Earth observation, and promote the implementation of major international projects.

The ceremony was awarded licenses by 12 pilot application units, such as Tsinghua University, Zhijiang Laboratory, Beijing normal University, Great Wall Company, Huateng Company, etc., and representatives of relevant units and institutions such as the co-construction units of Hainan International Cooperation Center attended the ceremony.
