CTOnews.com, November 23, the international standard "Information Technology-Affective Computing user Interface-Model" (ISO / IEC 30150-1 IEC 2022 Information technology-Affective computing user interface (AUI)-Part1: Model), jointly led by the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization, has been officially released. This international standard was established in the ISO / IEC JTC1 / SC35 working Group on Culture and language adaptation (WG5) in 2017 and released by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in June 2022. It is the first international standard on emotional interaction in the world.

The content of the international standard "Information Technology-emotional Computing user Interface-Model" involves basic terms related to emotional computing and emotional interaction model, including normative description of emotional interaction process, emotional interaction framework and so on. CTOnews.com learned that the standard standardizes the process and methods for computer system to analyze and identify emotions and realize emotional feedback expression, and enables users and computers to understand and express emotions in the same way. It solves the problems of inconsistency in emotion description, emotion acquisition and processing standards in the field of human-computer interaction.

In the process of formulating this standard, experts from various countries agreed on the importance of the establishment of emotional computing user interface standards, which promoted the establishment of the ISO / IEC JTC1 / SC35 emotional computing user interface working group (WG10) to specialize in the formulation of such a series of standards. This is the first working group led by China under the Information Technology user Interface Sub-Committee of the International Organization for Standardization, and the first convener is Wang Hongan, a researcher of the Software Institute. Members include the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Spain, Germany, China, Japan, South Korea and so on.
