IT House, August 19 (Xinhua)-- Acura PRECISION EV concept car, a brother of Honda's Prologue, was officially unveiled this week at Monterrey Auto week. It will be built based on GM's Orlando platform and will be positioned as an all-electric SUV. The new car is also the brand's first all-electric model.

Acura officials say the new car will be named ZDX and will be released in 2024. In addition, the future model will also offer a sports version of the TYPE S.

IT House learned that Acura's original ZDX, released in 2010, has a strong styling design. The new 2024 ZDX SUV will feature a more traditional hatchback SUV.

The concept car is also interesting in shape, with a floating roof, a smooth side and a glowing grille.

The interior is so sci-fi that the production car is not expected to happen, using the yoke steering wheel that Tesla has been complaining about and a transparent infotainment system.

It is worth mentioning that the Acura ZDX, a joint venture between Honda and GM, will use GM's Ultium platform and will be produced together with Cadillac Lyriq SUV at an assembly plant in Springhill, Tennessee.

According to foreign media reports, the model will use the same Cadillac Lyriq design, such as a rear motor, a basic version of 340hp and a possible all-wheel drive version of 500hp, which is expected to use a 102.0 kWh battery pack with a range of 312mph (about 502.12 km).

In addition, Acura has confirmed that the ZDX Type S is planned, which is likely to be a more powerful all-wheel drive model. Of course, Acura has not released any details yet, please look forward to the follow-up.
