According to reports, the camera is made by a special edition camera jointly created by Leica, street clothing brand BAPE and American graffiti artist STASH. The fuselage is covered with BAPE's iconic camouflage pattern, and the camera and accessories are printed with artist STASH's graffiti signature and BAPE's famous ape head logo. The camera includes the black version sold by Leica and the silver version sold exclusively by BAPE.

CTOnews.com learned that the Leica D-LUX 7 uses a fast zoom lens Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f / 1.7-2.8ASPH. (equivalent to the 24-75mm focal length of the 35mm film format), the 4pm 3-inch sensor has an effective pixel of 17 million.
