CTOnews.com8, March 19, yesterday, according to the Nikkei News, three people familiar with the matter said that Apple suppliers Lixun Precision and Foxconn have begun trial production of the Apple Watch in northern Vietnam, the first time Apple has produced the device outside China. But today, Guo Mingyi, an analyst at Tianfeng International Securities, tweeted that Apple Apple Watch has begun to ship in Vietnam.

Guo Mingyi said that Lixun Precision, the main assembler of Apple Apple Watch, has production lines in China and Vietnam, and has shipped from Vietnam since Apple Apple Watch 7. He expects shipments of Apple's Apple Watch 8, which will be released later this year, to rise sharply to 60-70 per cent in Vietnam.

Guo Mingyi also said that Lixun Precision is the leader in the non-Chinese national construction production line among Apple's Chinese suppliers, and this first-mover advantage is conducive to the long-term development of Lixun Precision under the trend of anti-globalization.

CTOnews.com learned that in June, Nikkei Asia reported that Apple moved some iPad production from China to Vietnam for the first time ever after months of supply chain disruptions caused by strict outbreak controls in and around Shanghai.

The move shows that Apple is actively seeking to diversify its production region, and in May, Apple CEO Cook also said that Apple was interested in working with Vietnamese manufacturers that meet the company's standards.
