Aug. 19 (Xinhua) on Thursday, local time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk complained that Twitter asked him to provide so much information that he even wanted all the chat about the acquisition.

A team of lawyers representing Mr. Musk sent a letter to the judge in charge of the Twitter acquisition on Thursday. They argue that after a series of documentation requests around the acquisition, Twitter is now asking for interactive information from Musk's friends, colleagues and companies that go far beyond the scope of the case, with a view to obtaining more financing details.

In a letter to Judge Kathaleen St J. McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery, Mr Musk's lawyers said they had surrendered the names of "dozens of individuals and entities" related to financing "unique information". Twitter is currently mobilizing more people who may have had a brief conversation with Musk about the acquisition.

Both Musk and Twitter are preparing for the October 17 trial and issued a large number of subpoenas to equity investors, advisers and banks involved in the proposed acquisition. On Thursday, Musk filed a notice to issue subpoenas to advertising technology companies Integral Ad Science and DoubleVerify. He claimed that in order to smooth the acquisition, Twitter underestimated the number of fake accounts on the platform.

Twitter said co-investors in the deal included Ken Griffin, chief executive of Citadel, and Growth II Management, a venture capital fund owned by Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and an old friend of Mr Musk.

In the latest letter, the focus of the debate is who is qualified to be Musk's potential co-investor to raise $7.1 billion for the Twitter acquisition. Mr Musk said Twitter wanted to include anyone Mr Musk talked to about the deal, even the shortest, non-substantive social interactions.

A Twitter spokesman declined to comment on the letter.
