Aichi Steel said that pure electric vehicles will be more popular by 2030. Aichi Steel believes that 34000 rpm high-speed motors can reduce overall mass by 40 per cent compared with current mainstream motors. Specifically, the high-speed motor will reduce electromagnetic steel consumption by 75% and copper and magnet consumption by 70%. If the speed of the motor is increased by 50,000 rpm, its raw material consumption will be further reduced.

According to reports, at present, European and American enterprises lead the world in the high-speed technology of pure electric vehicle motors. The European Union's "ModulED" project successfully developed a 22500 rpm high speed motor from 2017 to 2020. In terms of practical application, Tesla Automobile in the United States is in the lead, and its electric sports car "Model S Plaid" listed in 2021 carries more than 20, 000 rpm motors.
