CTOnews.com August 18, Microsoft released Edge browser Beta 105. Like other "major" Edge updates released by Microsoft every four weeks, version 105 provides minor feature changes, underlying improvements, and policy updates. The most noteworthy new features are enterprise-centric and targeted at users using IE mode.

What are the new features in Edge 105 Beta?

Feature updates:

Improve the cloud site list management experience of the IE model. Users can revert to one of the last 3 released versions of the site list at the Microsoft 365 Central Administration.

Improvements to the IE cloud site list management experience are now available in GCC. Users can identify gaps in the enterprise site list by configuring site feedback reports using InternetExplorerIntegrationCloudUserSitesReporting and InternetExplorerIntegrationCloudNeutralSitesReporting policies. Users can view the local site list URL from the user and the neutral site URL that may be misconfigured in the Microsoft site list experience in the Microsoft Edge site list experience. In addition, users can configure session cookie sharing between Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer for IE mode in the list of sites in the Microsoft 365Administration Center.

In addition to the above changes, Microsoft Edge 105supports Encrypted Client Hello, a new TLS extension that prevents metadata disclosure during encryption key exchanges between clients and servers.

CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft plans to release a stable official version of Edge 105 to all users this week, September 1, 2022. At the same time, users can download Edge 105 Beta from the Edge Insider website. The browser is suitable for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS systems.
