According to the financial report, the revenue of Best Group in the second quarter was 1.93 billion yuan, down 37.5% from the same period last year, while the month-on-month increase of 6.9% led to a net operating loss of 317.2 million yuan for non GAAP.

CTOnews.com learned that Best Group said that despite the impact of the epidemic, Best Express's operating results still improved significantly, Best's supply chain was profitable, and Best's US business continued to be profitable.

In the second quarter, Best Group's cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash and short-term investments reached 4.4 billion yuan, with a net cash of 1.4 billion yuan at the end of the quarter. Excluding the shrinking financial business of Best and additional expenses arising from the merger of shares, the group's second-quarter net loss narrowed sharply by 27.1% from the previous quarter.

Best Express: in the second quarter, the express business was affected by the epidemic, with cargo volume falling 8.8 per cent year-on-year to 2.223 million tons and net loss narrowing 66.8 per cent to 57.42 million yuan from the previous quarter. In addition, express e-commerce accounted for 20.4% of the total, an increase of 1.2 percentage points over the same period last year.

Best supply chain: in the second quarter, the gross profit margin of the supply chain increased by 3.9 percentage points to 8.2% from the previous quarter, achieving a net profit of 12.09 million yuan; Yuncang unit volume increased by 7.6% to 9396 million, of which the number of joined warehouse orders increased by 90% to 5892 million.

Best International: affected by the epidemic, Best International packed 30.78 million pieces in Southeast Asia this quarter.
