CTOnews.com August 17 news, Microsoft announced yesterday, Windows 11 widget icon ushered in dynamic notification function, allowing users to view real-time updates from other widgets, such as sports, finance, breaking news and so on.

The current Windows 11 taskbar widget icon can only display weather information, but when the new feature is launched, the icon will be displayed as a notification message in real time, such as the thunderstorm warning below. The icon can even display notifications when stocks rise and fall.

Microsoft says the notifications are designed to be quick and self-explanatory, with a click to quickly open details. If the user does not interact with them, the widget icon will return to show the weather.

However, there is no filtering option for this feature, and users cannot choose which widgets to block notifications.

CTOnews.com understands that users need to update Windows 11 to the latest official version and then update Windows Web Experience Pack from Microsoft App Store, which is expected to take several weeks to fully roll out.

In addition, Windows 11 is about to usher in a 22H2 major version update, bringing a lot of changes, the news said it will be fully pushed on September 20.
