CTOnews.com, Aug. 17 (Xinhua)-- Power company GaN Systems has developed a 280W GaN power adapter, which officials say is 50% smaller and 30% lighter than conventional products, according to NoteBookCheck.

According to reports, the size of this power adapter is only 16 x 6.9 x 2.5 cm and weighs 700g. By comparison, the 280W adapter included with the Eurocom Raptor X15 game book has a size of 18 x 8.5 x 3.5 cm. Officials say the 280W GaN adapter has a power density of 16W / in3, a full-load conversion efficiency of 95%, and no-load standby < 0.2W.

CTOnews.com learned that there are already high-end games equipped with gallium nitride power adapters. The picture below shows the smaller, more powerful 240W gallium nitride power adapter launched by aliens, and there are also 180W traditional adapters available.
