Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, August 17 (Xinhua)-- 49% of Android users are considering switching to Apple iPhone because they are "considered to have an advantage" in terms of security and privacy, according to a survey. In addition, consumers report that using the iPhone 13 Pro Max feels safer than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Beyond Identity surveyed 1003 Americans about their mobile phone security habits and emotions. According to the survey, 76 per cent of Apple users feel more secure about iOS. By contrast, 74% of Android users feel the same way.
According to the user base survey of each smartphone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max feels much more secure than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. In fact, many iPhone 13 users say their smartphones are the safest smartphones they have ever used.
The main findings of the study also show how cloud services affect Apple iOS and Android users:
20% of iCloud keychain users feel very secure, while only 13% of Google password Manager users feel the same way.
27% of Apple users feel very secure using iCloud, while 22% of Google Drive users feel the same way.
Due to the improved security features of the newly released operating system, 33 per cent of Android users are considering switching to Apple iPhone, thanks to the attractiveness of the upcoming iOS 16 system. One of the top security features of this operating system is locked mode.
Research shows that iPhone users are also more proactive in digital security, and they are more likely to choose six-digit passwords rather than four-digit passwords to unlock their phones.
IPhone users also prefer to monitor their location tracking and use facial recognition-no Android phone offers the same technology as Apple.
Last but not least, respondents were asked to share their experience with security vulnerabilities in iPhone and Android phones. The study found that:
Apple and Android users are no stranger to hacking and security vulnerabilities: 40% or more of these two groups have experienced malware attacks or online fraud. However, Apple has once again gained an advantage: more of their users report that they have never encountered any form of security breach. When a data breach does occur, they are 20% more likely to fully recover lost data than Android users. However, Apple users may feel a little too safe because they are more likely to report lost phones more often-as many as six or more times in the past six months. "
