Notably, Apple has patented an in-ear fitness monitoring system that integrates advanced biometric sensors to detect physiological indicators through skin contact and built-in motion sensors. including temperature, heart rate, sweat equality.

There is little information about the operation of the AirPods Pro 2 fitness tracking function, but it is likely to be integrated with the Apple Watch activity circle. Apple's iOS 16 system extends the "activity circle" to all users, even if they don't have an Apple Watch, they can set daily activity goals and check active calories in their fitness app. Users can also share their "activity circle" with friends to increase motivation.

IPhone motion sensors can track steps, distances, climbing meters and exercise from third-party applications, which can be converted into active calorie estimates that contribute to users' daily activity goals. Given that Apple is about to expand its "active circle" to all iPhone, it is now more likely to use AirPods to collect more activity data, especially for users who do not have an Apple Watch.

In addition to fitness tracking, AirPods Pro 2 is expected to use the same design as the current model, skin detection sensors instead of IR sensors, a "significantly upgraded" wireless chip, support for Apple lossless audio codec (ALAC) playback, and an audible charging box for position tracking.
