Wuxi Polar Light Technology Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Polar Light") global headquarters and perovskite innovation industrial base project, the third generation semiconductor module sealing and testing manufacturing base project of Honeycomb Easy Creation under Great Wall landed in Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a planned investment of 3.8 billion yuan.

According to the official introduction, the signed polar light global headquarters and perovskite innovation industry base project, will invest 3 billion yuan, covering a total area of 156 mu. It is planned to build the world's first GW perovskite photovoltaic module and BIPV product production line, 100 tons perovskite quantum dot production line, global innovation center and headquarters building, with an estimated annual output value of 2.5 billion yuan.

Polar Electric Light is an innovative high-tech enterprise specializing in R & D and manufacturing of perovskite photovoltaic and perovskite photovoltaic products. In 2021, the efficiency of the photovoltaic module of polar light energy perovskite broke 20% for the first time in the industry and became the first in the world, and was included in Martin Green Global Solar Cell Efficiency Table with excellent performance of module efficiency of 20.5%. CTOnews.com learned that the third-generation semiconductor module sealing and testing manufacturing base project was signed and cooperated with the global headquarters of polar electric light energy and the perovskite innovation industrial base project at the same time, with a total investment of about 800 million yuan, an area of about 30 mu, a construction area of about 28000 square meters, and an annual production capacity of 1.2 million sets of planned vehicle gauge modules. After the project is fully produced, it is estimated that the annual revenue will reach 1.5 billion yuan and the tax payment will reach 100 million yuan. The project originates from the honeycomb easy-to-create business of Great Wall Motor. In the future, it is planned to adopt the mode of "upstream raw material binding + self-built semiconductor business" and pre-layout module sealing test, aiming to build a high-tech semiconductor company integrating R & D, production and sales of vehicle regulation-level power modules, determined to become a leading enterprise of vehicle regulation-level power semiconductor in China.

Great Wall Motor said that the third generation semiconductor module will be applied in the main inverter and charging field of new energy vehicles. Thanks to its superior physical performance, it is more suitable for manufacturing high-frequency high-power devices with high temperature resistance, high voltage resistance and high current resistance, which can assist the efficient conversion of electric energy in the fields of new energy vehicles, photovoltaic, DC UHV transmission and consumer power supply.
