On August 16, according to foreign media reports, Wal-Mart reached an agreement with film and television company Paramount Global on Monday to provide Paramount + streaming services to Wal-Mart + membership program users.

It is reported that the Wal-Mart member streaming service will begin in September, and Walmart + members will be able to enjoy Paramount's basic streaming service, worth $4.99 a month, including advertising.

Nearly two years ago, Wal-Mart launched Walmart +, which costs $12.95 a month or $98 a year, and includes free order delivery, fuel discounts, and a six-month subscription package for Spotify's advanced music service. Wal-Mart said at a news conference on Monday that its membership had been growing positively every month since its launch in September 2020.

As of July, Walmart + had 11 million users, according to market research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners; Paramount Global announced earlier this month that Paramount + had 43.3 million users worldwide.
