Wu Hequan believes that AI needs people to train, and it will not produce consciousness on its own. Some people worry that AI will resist humans, and it may be that humans have loopholes in the programming of AI, stimulating its opposing actions, but not consciously.

As for whether it will replace human beings, for example, many Internet companies now use AI customer service, but sometimes they have to be equipped with real people to answer, that is to say, AI can not replace all positions. In his view, AI has not only replaced some jobs, but also created some new ones. For example, the analysis of big data, which AI relies on, needs to do a lot of pre-processing in the early stage. Take face recognition as an example, the computer will not distinguish the facial features, so it is necessary to manage the photos and videos of the face manually in advance and draw the positions of eyes, nose, mouth and ears. He pointed out that at present, the number of 4G base stations in China is more than 5 million, that is, 5G base stations are less than 1/3 of 4G base stations. The plan of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is that 80% of China's administrative villages will have access to 5G by 2025, so an important direction of 5G in the future is to continue to complete coverage. For 5G users, the number of users also needs to continue to increase if the 5G network is to be effective.

In addition to network coverage, he believes that 5G technology also needs to evolve.

When 5G first went into commercial use three years ago, it was in accordance with the R15 standard. Now it has evolved to R16, and it is expected to complete R17 this year. The evolution of the standard can further develop the capabilities of 5G, such as industrial Internet applications. For example, conventional public networks focus on downlink and large bandwidth, while industrial applications, in turn, require large uplink, low latency, accurate positioning and high reliability; the future R18 standard may promote the coordinated development of 5G and satellite Internet.

In previous generations of mobile communications, we generally adhere to the idea that the peak speed of the new generation is 1000 times that of the previous generation, and now the peak speed of 5G is 1Gbit / s, if the millimeter wave band can reach 20Gbit / s. It is natural to develop to a higher frequency band, and the transmission conditions of a higher frequency band are relatively poor, which means that the cost of building a network will be high, which is also a challenge.

He believes that the biggest difference between 6G research and previous generations of mobile communication technology is that in previous generations, we still followed a path that depended on both national independent innovation and globalization, and now we are facing a very severe international situation.
