CTOnews.com, August 15, Samsung unveiled a 55-inch curved display called Odyssey Ark at the 2022 CES conference in January this year. Today, Samsung officially announced the price of the monitor-$3500 (about 23625 yuan).

Samsung Odyssey Ark is equipped with a 55-inch 4K Quantum Mini-LED curved screen with 165Hz refresh rate, 14-bit backlight, 1ms response time, peak brightness of 1000 nits, a curve radius of 1000R, and an aspect ratio of 16:9, which can be used in both landscape and portrait modes and supports technologies such as FreeSync and G-Sync.

Samsung says the monitor provides a "new sense of immersion". The cockpit mode option allows users to rotate the Ark display vertically for multitasking or a new gaming experience.

The display supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, including a variable refresh rate (VRR), a game bar that can be adjusted, and a game center for finding new content. The multi-view feature allows up to four splits to be displayed at a time.

Samsung Odyssey Ark's matte display reduces glare and reflection and is equipped with four speakers (one in each corner) to support Dolby panoramic sound (Dolby Atmos). The position of the monitor can be adjusted through HAS, tilt and pivot to achieve custom game settings, or it can be mounted on the wall through the accompanying VESA bracket.

The display is also equipped with a dedicated controller, which can quickly realize operations such as moving windows, multi-views, quick settings, opening the game toolbar and so on.

In terms of interface, the display is equipped with LAN ports, two USB 2.0s, HDMI 2.1and so on. It can be used as a TV or play cloud games directly.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Odyssey Ark curved display has been pre-sold on Samsung's official website for $3500 (about RMB 23625), with a discount of up to $300 for the initial launch, or as low as $3200 (about RMB 21600), which will officially go on sale in early September.
