BYD plans to invest 28.5 billion yuan in Yichun to build an annual 30GWh power battery and an annual capacity of 100000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate and ceramic clay (containing lithium) comprehensive development and utilization production base project.

Yichun is a prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province, located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, is the famous "Asian lithium capital", has the world's largest lithium mica ore, accounts for more than 70% of the world's mining capacity, lithium oxide accounts for 31% of the country's and 12% of the world's.

CTOnews.com learned that Ningde era and Guoxuan Hi-Tech two major new energy head enterprises have settled in Yichun.

The total investment of Ningde era is no more than 13.5 billion yuan to build a new lithium battery production base (Yichun) in Ningde era.

The 10GWh production line of Yichun Guoxuan battery was officially completed and put into production on May 30. Guoxuan Hi-Tech's investment plans in Yichun include power batteries, lithium carbonate, mining and mineral processing projects.

According to the data released by the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, Ningde Times ranked first with 49.60% of the top 15 power battery installed companies in June, while BYD, LG New Energy, China New Airlines (AVIC Lithium) and Guoxuan Hi-Tech ranked second and fifth with 18.53%, 6.19%, 6.01% and 4.94%, respectively. In addition, the 6th to 15th places are Xinwangda, Honeycomb Energy, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Fuleng Technology, Ripu Energy, Tafel, Polyfluorodo, Penghui Energy, Lishen and Jiewei Power.
