The results showed that ideal Motor had revenue of 8.73 billion yuan in the second quarter, up 73.3 percent from 5.03 billion yuan in the same period last year and down 8.7 percent from 9.56 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2022. Higher than the 7.74 billion yuan expected by the market.

According to the financial report, ideal Motor's vehicle sales revenue in the second quarter was 8.48 billion yuan, up 73.0% from a year earlier and down 8.9% from a month earlier. Revenue from other sales and services in the second quarter was RMB 249 million, up 83.6 per cent from a year earlier and down 1.7 per cent from a month earlier.

Ideal Motor posted a net loss of 641 million yuan in the second quarter, compared with 236 million yuan in the same period last year and a net loss of 10.9 million yuan in the first quarter of 2022. By the end of the second quarter, the ideal car cash reserve reached 53.65 billion yuan.

In the second quarter of 2022, the ideal car delivered 28687 ideal ONE. Delivery of the ideal second model, the ideal L9, will begin by the end of August.

In addition, ideal expects to deliver 27000 to 29000 vehicles in the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 7.5% to 15.5% over the third quarter of 2021. Total revenue in the third quarter is expected to be 8.96 billion yuan to 9.56 billion yuan, an increase of 15.3% to 22.9% over the third quarter of 2021.

CTOnews.com learned that ideal car announced on August 1 that it delivered 10422 ideal ONE in July, up 21.3% from a year earlier; since its launch in 2019, the cumulative delivery volume of ideal ONE has reached 194913.

In addition, as of July 31, 2022, there are 259 retail centers in China, covering 118 cities, and 311 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized sheet spray centers in 226 cities.
