CTOnews.com, August 14 (Xinhua)-- Git, a project version control tool commonly used by programmers, has announced that it will give up support for Microsoft Windows 7Comp8 in early 2023.

Recently, version 2.37.2 (2) of Git for Windows was released, in which the included Bash was upgraded to version 5.1 in the update notes, while giving up support for Microsoft Windows Vista.

In addition, around the beginning of 2023, Git for Windows will abandon support for Windows 7 and Windows 8 and follow the lead of Cygwin and MSYS2.
