He Yicheng said that the industrial development of the cooperation zone will clearly follow the direction listed in the second five-year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Macao Special Administrative region (2021-2025) and the General Plan for the Construction of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone. He also revealed that recently, large-scale semiconductor projects supported by the state have landed in the cooperation zone, with a preliminary estimated investment of more than 40 billion yuan.

He Yicheng believes that Macao will usher in opportunities for industrial development, which can cooperate with the development of relevant downstream products and support the development of emerging industries.

At present, the cooperation zone has formulated a number of support measures to promote the development of the integrated circuit industry, and the Macao government is also promoting the construction of the Institute of Microelectronics and the state key laboratory of integrated circuits at the University of Macao.
