According to reports, the equipment is fully in line with the requirements of the International Electrotechnical Association (IEC) 61108-5GRO 2020 "Maritime Navigation and Radio Communication equipment and Systems-Global Satellite Navigation system (GNSS)-part 5: Beidou Satellite Navigation system (BDS)-Test results of receiving equipment performance requirements, Test methods and requirements". This indicates that the domestic ship inspection certification and the development and production of Beidou products have the ability to implement marketization and internationalization.

The equipment not only supports single Beidou positioning, but also can be extended to Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and other multi-system joint positioning; it can track and display satellite navigation status in real time and provide autonomous integrity monitoring.

With general functions of ship navigation, such as positioning, speed, heading and other information display; route and mark design, landing beacon (MOB), track storage and display; voyage, speed, arrival / anchor position, voyage and other reminder functions; provide plotting, satellite status, heading, route, data and other display modes.

With bridge alarm function, such as horizontal component accuracy factor (HDOP) out of limit, differential signal loss, position loss, intact state and so on.

Differential positioning and Beidou No. 3 area short message service can be provided through the external interface.

At the same time, it meets the requirements of IEC 62923, IEC 61162, IEC 62288 and other standards.

On the whole, the equipment meets the new rules of IMO and the related functions and interface requirements of ship GNSS navigator in international navigation applications.

CTOnews.com learned that in May this year, the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association issued the 2022 White Paper on the Development of China's Satellite Navigation and location Services Industry. According to the white paper, the overall output value of China's satellite navigation and location service industry reached 469 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of about 16.29 percent over 2020. Beidou is also becoming the standard configuration of positioning functions for mass consumer products such as smartphones and wearable devices. Domestic smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Nubia and Coolpad all fully support Beidou system applications. Beidou foundation enhancement function has been introduced into smartphones, which can achieve 1-meter high-precision positioning, and pilot applications of lane-level navigation are being carried out in many cities in China. A popular mobile phone with the short message communication ability of Beidou 3 will soon be on the market.
