CTOnews.com, August 14, according to Macrumors, Microsoft released a new test version of the iPad Office app this week, which supports Apple Pencil's "handwritten to text" function.

This feature allows users to insert and edit text in Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, or Excel spreadsheets using Apple Pencil, and handwritten text is automatically converted to typed text.

Office Insider program members can now test this feature through TestFlight, and this update is expected to be released to all users on App Store in the coming weeks.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple has added a handwritten feature to iPadOS 14, which is suitable for all iPad that supports first-generation or second-generation Apple Pencil, including all iPad Pro, third-generation iPad Air and newer versions, fifth-generation iPad mini and newer versions, and sixth-generation iPad and newer versions.
