According to a Bloomberg report yesterday, carmaker Stellantis plans to launch more electric vehicles in order to meet the large demand for electric vehicles. As a result, Stellantis is considering revamping its plant in Mexico to produce hybrid and pure electric cars.

The Stellantis Group plans to renovate its factory in Saltillo, an industrial city in northern Mexico, about 200 miles from the Texas border, according to sources. In addition, the Stellantis Group is also considering an investment of "billions" of US dollars in a plant in the Mexican state of Mexico, and the plan is likely to be launched in the next few years.

CTOnews.com learned that the Stellantis Group announced its results for the first half of 2022 on July 28. The results showed that its net revenue in the first half of 2022 reached 88 billion euros, an increase of 17% over the same period last year.

In addition, Stellantis Group's global sales of pure electric vehicles increased by nearly 50% year-on-year, selling 136000 units. Stellantis Group currently offers 20 all-electric models and will launch another 28 new all-electric models by 2024.
