CTOnews.com, August 13, according to the Taiwan Economic Daily, Quanta held an online legal meeting on August 12, saying that due to delays in orders and different customer product portfolios, notebook computers will grow by more than 20% in the third quarter of 2022 compared with the previous quarter.

On the server side, Quanta said that the second half of the year was better than the first half of the year, and the server still had double-digit growth throughout the year. In addition, shipments of notebooks for the whole of 2022 will fall back to about 59.8 million units.

CTOnews.com learned that Quanta said that capital expenditure this year was about 12 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 2.712 billion yuan), up from the previous estimate of 10 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 2.26 billion yuan). This is mainly due to strong demand in the server market in the United States and Europe, and Quanta continues to expand and increase production.

Looking forward to 2023, Quanta said that it is expected that the demand for PC will begin to pick up in the second half of next year, mainly because PC has become the core of human life computing. Coupled with the continued demand for replacement, the PC market will begin to pick up in the second half of 2023.

Revenue data show that Quanta's June revenue was 123.784 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 27.975 billion yuan), an increase of 54.8 percent month-on-month and 37 percent year-on-year, second only to the December high of 124.7 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 28.182 billion yuan).
