Specifically, Guangzhou Intelligent Network Automobile Road Test has entered a new stage, which is mainly reflected in four aspects. First, the scope of the test road is getting wider and wider. As of June 30, 2022, Guangzhou has issued 202 open test roads with a two-way mileage of 789 km, covering six administrative areas: Baiyun, Haizhu, Panyu, Huangpu, Huadu and Nansha.

Second, there are more and more test sizes and types. A total of 201 test vehicles of 19 models from 11 enterprises in Guangzhou have obtained test licenses. In the first half of this year, Guangzhou added 59 new test vehicles, upgraded 36 passenger tests, upgraded 46 road tests, upgraded 3 remote tests, and had a self-driving mileage of about 2.07 million km. In addition, the total mileage of Guangzhou self-driving road test has exceeded 6 million km.

Third, industry supervision is becoming more and more standardized. Fourth, the demonstration application (operation) is becoming more and more solid. For example, the Guangzhou Transportation Bureau, based on the recent road test performance of self-driving company Xiaoma Huixing, first included its three models in the Guangzhou Intelligent Network United cars (self-driving) demonstration model catalogue. This means that Guangzhou has further standardized in the aspects of vehicle access, licensing and operation license, which indicates that Guangzhou has taken the lead in realizing the commercial operation of Intelligent Network Automotive in the whole country.
