According to CTOnews.com8 news on March 12, @ DJI DJI Innovations announced on its official Weibo this afternoon that DJI, together with a 8KRAW imaging team, successfully climbed Mount Qomolangma, the highest peak in the world, and took pictures of the beautiful scenery of Mount Qomolangma using Mavic 3 drones.

The weather at the summit of Mount Qomolangma was clear and the wind was weak, and the photographer 8KRAW reached the summit quickly, officials said. It was also the first time a drone had taken off from the summit of Mount Qomolangma, and Mavic 3 finally successfully recorded the scene of the summit at an altitude of 9232.86 meters.

Wang Yuanzong, general director of the film and founder of 8KRAW, said: "8KRAW continues to pursue extreme images. As early as three years ago, we started to try aerial photography of Mount Everest. It has always been the team's long-cherished wish to fly drones at the summit and complete the leap shooting. Now, with the help of Mavic 3, which is light and reliable, and the warm weather conditions on the day of the summit, I am very grateful to Mount Everest for accepting us. It allows us to understand it from a new perspective. "

The 8KRAW team also said that it plans to challenge the shooting of 14 peaks of more than 8000 meters around the world in the next few years, and DJI will continue to follow the 8KRAW team and work with them to present more natural scenes to users around the world.

CTOnews.com learned that the first dual camera system introduced by the Mavic 3 UAV, featuring a 4 CMOS Hassel camera with up to 28 x hybrid zoom, the Mavic 3 is equipped with a new advanced intelligent return function, and the forward-looking sensing distance has been increased to 200m from 20m in the previous generation.

This is not the first time DJI has tried to use drones to photograph Mount Everest. As early as 2017, DJI tried to take aerial pictures of Mount Qomolangma. Mavic design engineers carried Mavic Pro to the Mount Qomolangma area due to physical environment and other factors. Finally, Mavic Pro only captured the picture of Mount Qomolangma at 5838.8 meters.

In 2019, after the release of Mavic 2, other teams successfully took off from 8480 meters of Mount Qomolangma, setting the highest aerial record at that time.
