At the same time, LG display is also working on acquiring a flexible OLED technology and is in talks with a customer to develop the technology.

LG display is one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels, OLED and flexible displays, and dominates the global market for large OLED TV screens. The company makes screens for a range of companies, including some models of Apple's iPhone.

In early August this year, foreign media reported that LG display would continue to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 14 series this year, but only for two of them (iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max).

Earlier, at the end of June this year, foreign media reported that supply chain restrictions had affected the expansion of the LG display OLED panel, leading to a slowdown in its expansion plans.
