Infineon announced on its website that Infineon has acquired Industrial Analytics, a start-up based in Berlin, on August 11, local time. Therefore, Infineon will strengthen its artificial intelligence software and service business to carry out predictive analysis related to machinery and industrial equipment.

Infineon will buy 100% of the company, but both sides have agreed not to disclose the amount of the deal, the announcement said.

Peter Wawer, president of Infineon Industrial Power Control, said: "Industrial Analytics has outstanding expertise in using artificial intelligence for predictive analysis of industrial machinery and equipment. We intend to jointly expand Industrial Analytics's business and provide new artificial intelligence solutions for Infineon's industrial customers to strengthen our semiconductor product portfolio."
