CTOnews.com, August 12 (Xinhua)-- today, Apple released an update to Safari Technology Preview, an experimental browser launched by Apple in March 2016. Apple designed the Safari technology preview to test features that might be introduced into the official version of Safari in the future.

Apple Safari browser Technical Preview 151includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, WebDriver, CSS, rendering, media, JavaScript, Web API, Web components, accessibility, lock mode, and Web extensions.

CTOnews.com learned that the current Safari technology preview is built on Safari 16 updates, including support for macOS Ventura features such as real-time text, passwords, Web extension improvements, and so on.

Unlike previous versions of the Safari technology preview, the new version is compatible with machines running macOS 13 Ventura, but is no longer available for macOS Big Sur.

Safari Technical Preview updates are available to users who have downloaded the browser through system preferences-Software updates. Apple launched the Safari technology preview to collect feedback from developers and users on the browser development process. The Safari technology preview can run in parallel with existing Safari browsers. Although it is designed for developers, it can be used without a developer account.
