CTOnews.com, Nov. 23, Strategy Analytics reported that the Spanish smartphone market grew at an annual rate of 7% in the third quarter of 2022, a 3% month-on-month growth rate. This is four quarters after the market has shown positive annual momentum.

Samsung, Xiaomi and Apple are the top three suppliers, with a market share of 30%, 29% and 13%, respectively. With the exception of OPPO, the top five suppliers have increased. Apple recorded strong annual growth of 60% in the quarter. For Samsung, its Galaxy An and Galaxy S series are the main sales drivers. CTOnews.com learned that Chinese suppliers accounted for nearly half of smartphone sales this quarter.

Spain is less likely to be affected by the coming recession than its European counterparts. As the fourth quarter of 2022 enters the most important holiday season, which smartphone vendors can best take advantage of their relative economic stability? Can Apple make up for its losses in the fourth quarter of 2022? What might happen to Spain in 2023? It needs to be further reported and observed.
