CTOnews.com news on November 23, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration today issued a circular on the limited carrying of e-cigarette products, atomizers, nicotine for e-cigarettes and other places. According to relevant regulations, each person carrying e-cigarette products, atomizers and nicotine for e-cigarettes in different places shall be subject to limited management. The specific notices are as follows:

The number of smoking sets shall not exceed 6, the number of electronic cigarette cartridges (liquid atomization) shall not exceed 90, the products sold in combination of cigarette cartridges and smoking sets (including disposable electronic cigarettes, etc.) shall not exceed 90, and the atomized products such as liquid smoke and nicotine for electronic cigarettes shall not exceed 180ml.

The State Tobacco Monopoly Administration has previously made it clear that the regulation of e-cigarettes will be carried out with reference to the relevant regulations of traditional cigarettes. The notice on resuming the mailing business of tobacco and its products issued by the State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau and the former Ministry of posts and Telecommunications in February 1993 stipulates that the mailing of cigarettes and cigars is limited to two (400) each (and two when they are sent together). Mailing tobacco leaves and cut tobacco is limited to five kilos each (not more than ten kilograms in combination). On March 11, 2022, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration formulated and promulgated the measures for the Administration of Electronic cigarettes, which stipulates that limited quantity management shall be implemented for sending and delivering electronic cigarette products, aerosols and nicotine for electronic cigarettes, which shall not exceed the limits set by the relevant competent departments of the State Council.

CTOnews.com learned that on October 1, 2022, the mandatory National Standard for E-cigarettes was formally implemented and fruit-flavored e-cigarettes were removed from the shelves.
