According to reports, the Vermilion Bird-2 launch vehicle is a two-stage cryogenic liquid carrier rocket with a diameter of 3.35m, a total length of 49.5m, a take-off mass of 219t and a take-off thrust of 268t. The first stage of the rocket uses four "Tianque" 80-ton liquid oxygen methane engines in parallel; the rocket second-stage engine uses a single "Tianque" 80-ton liquid oxygen methane engine and "Tianque" 10-ton swimming liquid oxygen methane engine, and the configuration of the main engine is the same as that of the first-class engine. The rocket stages are separated by cold separation, and the fairing is separated by spinning separation.

In addition, the final assembly site of the rocket, Jiaxing Blue Arrow Aerospace Center, is located in the Aerospace Industry Park in the port area of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, and the first phase covers an area of 40 mu. The project is composed of medium and large liquid rocket final assembly plant and upstream and downstream supporting industrial chain enterprises. Within three years of the project, a cluster of carrier rocket final assembly and test facilities will be formed, including the carrier rocket final assembly and testing plant, the rocket integrated ground laboratory, and the data management center.
