CTOnews.com, November 22, last month, Microsoft launched the Windows 10 2022 update (22H2), which provides "a limited set of productivity features" for users who are unwilling or unable to update to Windows 11.

Microsoft said today that the Windows 10 22H2 version is ready for widespread deployment, according to Neowin. Microsoft has not yet disclosed the productivity features added to this version.

CTOnews.com learned that widespread deployment is the final roll-out phase of the Windows version lifecycle, meaning that a large number of compatible computers will be notified of updates, not just devices that actively "check for updates."

In addition, the Windows 11 2022 update (22H2) is now available to all users who check for updates manually, while the original version of Windows 11 was widely deployed in May 2022.

Microsoft is about to stop supporting the Windows 10 21H1 version, and according to official documents, Windows 10 21H1 will end its life cycle on December 13, 2022.
