CTOnews.com November 22 news, today, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to October.

According to the National Energy Administration, by the end of October, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.5 billion kilowatts, an increase of 8.3 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of wind power is about 350 million kilowatts, an increase of 16.6 percent over the same period last year, and the installed capacity of solar power is about 360 million kilowatts, an increase of 29.2 percent over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that from January to October, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 3083 hours, a decrease of 103 hours compared with the same period last year. Of these, thermal power was 3619 hours, 52 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power 6226 hours, 245 hours less than the same period last year; and wind power 1817 hours, 10 hours less than the same period last year.

From January to October, the country's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 460.7 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 27.0% over the same period last year. Of this total, solar power generation was 157.4 billion yuan, an increase of 326.7% over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 351.1 billion yuan, an increase of 3.0% over the same period last year.
