Data show that in October 2022, China produced 752000 new energy vehicles, up 85.0 percent from the same period last year, down 0.8 percent from the previous month, and the permeability rose to 29.4 percent from the previous month.

From January to October this year, the output of new energy vehicles was 5.59 million, an increase of 108.4 per cent over the same period last year, with a cumulative penetration rate of 24.7 per cent, contributing more than 80 per cent to the growth of the automobile market.

In terms of power batteries, the installed capacity of power batteries for new energy vehicles in October was 21.4GWh, an increase of 60.1% over the same period last year. The cumulative installed capacity in 2022 was 193.6GWh, an increase of 99.9% over the same period last year. In terms of bicycle electricity, the average installed capacity of bicycles from January to October remained at 46.1kWh, an increase of 3.6 per cent over the same period last year.

In terms of market share, the number of sets installed by the top 10 enterprises accounted for more than 95.9%, of which the installed capacity of batteries in Ningde era accounted for 45.2%, the share decreased by 4.2% compared with the previous month, the share of Fudi batteries increased to 29.1%, and the market concentration of battery accessories maintained an upward trend.

In addition, the share of iron lithium batteries in October exceeded 67%, up 5.3% from the previous month, and grew rapidly in the short term. According to the analysis, the current energy density of lithium iron phosphate can basically meet the needs of mid-end models in the current market, and the price of cathode materials continues to rise recently, and the cost advantage of iron-lithium battery can be further revealed.

Thanks to the rapid growth of BYD this year, Fudi Power has an absolute advantage in the share of power battery, drive motor and drive motor controller.

Data show that BYD sold more than 210000 vehicles in October, with cumulative sales of nearly 1.4 million vehicles from January to October this year. Fudi Power, owned by BYD, ranks second only to Ningde in the market share of power batteries, with a market share of 34.7% in both drive motors and electronic controls, both ranking first.
