CTOnews.com, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) Samsung has updated more than a dozen smartphones to One UI 5.0based on Android 13, and has even released updates for several mid-range models before some of its flagship products, SamMobile reported.

Sally Hyesoon Jeong, vice president of Android framework research and development at Samsung Electronics, said in an interview that One UI 5.0 is currently being promoted in most markets around the world. From an engineering and product management point of view, it is impossible to give a definite date for each qualified model, but "we hope to complete the launch within this year."

According to reports, updates such as One UI 5.0and One UI 4.0focus on providing a new software experience while upgrading the Android operating system. When Samsung launches new collapsible devices, the software experience will be further optimized for foldable devices.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung held a developer conference in October to confirm that the One UI 5.0 official update will start rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series in October and to the remaining flagship products by 2023.
