CTOnews.com, Nov. 22 (Xinhua)-- Amazon has been known for its dedication to customers for nearly three decades, but a recent survey shows that consumer enthusiasm for the largest online retailer in the United States has declined, according to the Wall Street Journal.

CTOnews.com learned that a survey by Evercore ISI, an investment firm, showed a decline in the number of customers who were "extremely" or "very satisfied" with Amazon, accounting for 79 per cent in 2022, still down from a peak of 88 per cent nearly a decade ago. That figure had previously fallen to a low of 65 per cent during the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020.

Amazon's customer satisfaction fell to an all-time low in last year's U. S. customer satisfaction index. The index tracks shopper satisfaction at more than 400 of the largest companies in the United States. Amazon scored 78 out of 100, down from 86 five years ago and its worst performance since the index began tracking Amazon in 2000.

Amazon reported third-quarter net sales of $127.101 billion (about 910.043 billion yuan), up 15% from a year earlier, and net profit of $2.872 billion (about 20.564 billion yuan), down 9% from a year earlier.
