CTOnews.com, November 21, according to Kunming Railway, after nearly three months of preliminary test preparation, the Mimeng high-speed railway is about to open, and the men's group of drivers has made its debut.

Kunming Railway said that during the joint test period, Kunming locomotive depot selected EMU drivers to form a "joint dispatching joint test commando team," starting with strengthening safety awareness, skilled handling skills, and improving disposal ability, combing the characteristics of Mimeng high-speed railway lines, summarizing the operation modes of various models, practicing abnormal disposal processes, and improving the overall quality of the team in an all-round way. It has passed nearly 1000 round-trip operations and hundreds of emergency drills.

In view of the joint dispatching and trial operation of the Mimeng high-speed railway, the Kunming locomotive depot carried out multi-dimensional monitoring and control, assigned special personnel to be stationed at Maitreya and Honghe, and formed a "four-point joint defense information network" with the section dispatching command center and the bullet train operation workshop, and all sudden information during driving can be transmitted and judged in time.

CTOnews.com learned that the Mimeng high-speed railway is located in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, starting from Maitreya Station of Nanning Kunming High-speed Railway in the north, passing through Maitreya City and Kaiyuan City to the south, and ending in Mengzi City, the capital of Honghe Prefecture. The main line of the Mimeng high-speed railway is about 107 kilometers long and has a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There are four new stations on the line, namely, Honghe Station, Kaiyuan South Station, Pengpu Station and Zhuyuan Station.

The railway department said that after the Mimeng high-speed railway is opened, it will become a convenient passenger transport channel between the two major urban agglomerations in central and southeastern Yunnan. Mengzi, Kaiyuan and Maitreya will form a half-hour high-speed rail economic circle, and Kunming to Mengzi will be accessible within 2 hours.
