According to foreign media reports, South Korea's Ministry of Land and Transport disclosed on Sunday local time that the number of new energy vehicles registered in South Korea reached 1.515 million at the end of October, an increase of 38.3% over the same period last year.

Foreign media also mentioned in the report that the number of new energy vehicles registered in South Korea exceeded 500000 in April 2019, reaching 100 in July last year, from 1 million to 1.5 million, only 15 months apart, significantly shorter than that of 500000-1 million.

Among the new energy vehicles registered in South Korea, most are hybrid vehicles, with 1.121 million registered, accounting for nearly 74% of all new energy vehicles registered; 365000 pure electric vehicles, accounting for 24.1% of new energy vehicles registered; and 27000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles registered.

Of all the 25.402 million cars registered in South Korea, the proportion of new energy vehicles increased to 5.96% in October and will continue to rise with the continuous increase in the number of registrations.
