CTOnews.com news on November 21, today, Tianbing Science and Technology announced that the 110t thrust liquid oxygen kerosene rocket engine "Tianhuo 12" (hereinafter referred to as "TH-12") has successfully completed the hot test run of the whole system.

CTOnews.com learned that Tianbing Science and Technology said that Tianbing Science and Technology "TH-12" engine was launched in December 2020, with ground design thrust of 110t, specific impulse of 285s and thrust-to-weight ratio of 163.It is currently the largest liquid rocket engine for commercial aerospace in China, and it is also the largest 3D printing engine in China.

According to reports, this "TH-12" completed the hot test work on the 300t vertical test bench independently built by Tianbing Science and Technology, and comprehensively assessed the performance and reliability of the engine system in normal working modes such as rated mixing ratio, high / low mixing ratio, starting condition, box pressure ignition, emergency start mode and limit conditions, and verified the robustness of the target ignition timing of the whole machine. The key technical schemes such as spontaneous combustion ignition, non-pyrotechnic device design, multiple air conditioning start-up, pump backswing, fault diagnosis, large thrust chamber and 3D printing of pump shell are confirmed.

In addition, "TH-12" adopts six-channel control and real-time health monitoring, which can realize multi-mode start-up, multiple ignition, two-way swing after pump and variable thrust control.
