CTOnews.com, November 20, the LTE version of the original Surface Go, launched in November 2018, has now ceased official support. Starting today, Microsoft will no longer provide firmware and driver updates for the device.

Microsoft typically provides support for Surface devices for four years, starting with the launch of the device. It is worth noting that Windows updates are separate from firmware updates, which means that the Surface Go LTE version can continue to receive operating system updates, patches, and new features, but the device cannot be upgraded to Windows 11, so the upgrade can only continue on Windows 10.

Microsoft Surface Go was launched in 2018, with a built-in 7th-generation Intel Pentium processor 4415Y and a fanless design. Bank of China starts at 2988 yuan. The LTE version of Microsoft Surface Go was launched later in 2019, with a national price starting from 4988 yuan.

CTOnews.com learned that the next Surface device to be discontinued is Surface Laptop 2, which Microsoft will stop supporting on December 27, 2022.
