CTOnews.com November 19 news, Guoxuan Hi-Tech announced that the battery factory in cooperation with Vietnam's VinGroup has officially opened in Vietnam's Hejing Economic Development Zone. The first phase of the project is planned to have an annual capacity of 5GWh, the first lithium iron phosphate battery plant in Vietnam, and is expected to be put into production by the end of 2023.

The Vietnam VinES-Gotion Hejing battery factory, which is jointly invested by Guoxuan Hi-Tech and VinES, a subsidiary of the VinGroup Group of Vietnam, is the first lithium iron phosphate battery manufacturing plant in Vietnam, with a stake of 51% and 49% in China. According to the plan, the factory covers an area of 210mu, and the annual production capacity of the project is 5GWh, which is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of 2023. In the future, the products of the factory will meet the battery needs of VinFast new energy vehicles in Vietnam.

CTOnews.com learned that Vietnam VinES belongs to VinGroup Group, Vietnam's largest private enterprise, and is mainly responsible for the production of power batteries. The group's VinFast is a new energy vehicle manufacturer with products for Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.

According to VinES, the LFP battery plant is an important part of VinFast's autonomous battery supply strategy and part of VinES Energy Solutions' development strategy. The new plant, located next to the VinES battery production plant, will complete the closed-loop production of LFP batteries in Vietnam, thereby improving the localization and production efficiency of VinFast electric vehicles, while opening up new opportunities for the development of Vietnam's electric vehicles and clean energy industry.

Guoxuan Hi-Tech plans to achieve global 300GWh capacity by 2025, of which overseas 100GWh will help achieve global carbon neutralization.
