CTOnews.com, November 19 (Xinhua)-- NASA and Musk's space exploration company SpaceX plan to jointly carry out the 26th Commercial cargo spacecraft launch Mission (CRS-26) on November 22 (next Tuesday) to deliver supplies to the International Space Station.

The launch is scheduled for 03:54 EDT on Tuesday (04:54 Beijing time the next day) at launch site 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. If all goes well, docking with the space station will be completed at 6:30 on November 23.

According to reports, SpaceX will bring new scientific research, supplies and equipment to the international crew, including the next pair of solar cell arrays (iROSA) launched by the International Space Station, which will increase the existing power supply of the space station.

In addition, the space station mission will conduct a study on growing dwarf tomatoes to help build a sustainable fresh food production system in space and to test on-demand methods to produce specific amounts of key nutrients.

CTOnews.com learned that this would be SpaceX's 26th commercial resupply mission to the space station. The spacecraft is expected to stay at an orbital outpost for about a month, then return to Earth with research and returned cargo and land off the coast of Florida.
