Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, November 19, Microsoft announced two months ago that its input method application, SwiftKey, will no longer support the iOS platform in October 2022. Microsoft officials did not explain why it was removed from the Apple platform. However, Microsoft suddenly changed its mind and decided to put the input method application back on App Store.
Pedram Rezaei (@ pedram_re), chief technical officer of Microsoft Maps and Local Services, tweeted that Microsoft decided to restore the SwiftKey input method on the iOS side according to the requirements of the majority of users. At present, the company is investing heavily in the input method, and the follow-up will continue to bring exciting changes.
CTOnews.com learned that Rezaei did not specify where it was "investing heavily" and did not release follow-up details. SwiftKey was bought by Microsoft for $250 million in 2016, and last year, the iOS version of SwiftKey had zero updates, but now, as the project returns to App Store, you can expect it to start accepting new features and improvements frequently.
