CTOnews.com news on November 18, November 17, Tencent announced that the board of directors has decided to issue a total of 935.09 million award shares to no less than 6600 award holders in March 2022 according to the 2019 plan.

On November 17, Tencent Holdings closed at HK $292 per share, rebounding about 48 per cent from last month's low. If calculated on the basis of 6600 people, the average equity incentive will be 414000 Hong Kong dollars, or 378000 yuan, per person.

According to the announcement, the purpose of the issue is to reward people for their contributions and to attract and retain the talents needed for the continued operation and development of the Group. This share offering does not require further approval from any shareholders.

According to the announcement, Tencent will issue and allot new shares to the trustee, accounting for about 0.0976% of the company's issued shares as of November 16, 2022 and about 0.0975% of the company's issued shares after allotment. After the new shares have been issued and fully paid up, they will enjoy pari passu with each other and with the issued shares at the time of the allotment of the new shares.

Tencent will apply to the listing Committee of the Stock Exchange for approval for the listing and trading of the 935.09 million award shares.

CTOnews.com learned that on November 16, Tencent disclosed three-quarter results, which showed that Tencent's revenue in the third quarter of 2022 was 140.093 billion yuan, down 2% from the same period last year, while net profit (Non-IFRS) was 32.254 billion yuan, up 2% from the same period last year, leaving four consecutive quarters of decline and returning to a positive growth track. Among them, the revenue of the financial technology and enterprise services sector in the third quarter was 44.8 billion yuan, an increase of 4% over the same period last year, surpassing the online game sector to become the business sector with the largest contribution to revenue.

By the end of the third quarter, the combined monthly active user accounts of Wechat and WeChat reached 1.309 billion, an increase of 3.7% over the same period last year. The number of monthly active user accounts on the mobile terminal of Teng QQ reached 574 million, an increase of 0.1% over the same period last year.
